20 year old film stock

Twenty year old Ilford PanF (expired 06/1991)

I was in a camera shop to buy some cleaning gear for our cameras when I saw a bin of sale film. In it was some film that looked like some great candidates for my pinhole cameras. When I came across some Ilford PanF dated 06/1997. I was shocked. I decided it was worth the couple bucks they asked for it and grabbed two rolls.

I like the slow stuff (iso 50) for my pinholes to get pics nice & slow even in the bright sun. Rather than waste all that time on possibly dud film, I threw it in my Canon AE-1 this past weekend to sate my curiosity.

I really liked how this came out and it barely looks like this film is more than a month old. Somebody must have kept this in cold storage for a long time. It may not be all dreamy or funky from age, but at least I know this film can stand the test of time.

I will post more of this when I throw the other roll in a pinhole soon.
