Decisions, Decisions, Decisions...

It starts about Thursday, I start checking the weather report, then the “around town”events to see if there is anywhere I would like to take my camera. Then, no matter what I have planned, at the last minute I am sitting on the floor with my “bin o’ film”, a camera bag, and a frantic look on my face as I try to decide what camera & rolls to take.

I have to fight the feelings as soon as I lock the front door that I have chosen either the wrong camera or the wrong film.

More often then not lately, it was never the wrong camera. If it is wide angle camera, I just need to get closer. If it is a telephoto lens, I just need to focus on the most important thing of the shot I wanted. Pinhole: take a breath and slow things down. I will still come away with memories from that day.

I need to remind myself it is better to relax and make them good memories, than regrets that I did not have the right camera/film.

What camera to take with me this weekend? To be honest, I still can not decide…

you're right. the film is the pain for me. Auckland is renown for changeable weather and of late i've put a 100 ISO film in the camera only to shoot a couple of frames and the clouds have come over and I've needed a 400 ISO film. I'm taking two cameras everywhere I go at the moment with different films in them!

t's not the camera, as you suggest, it is the seeing. If you don't see, you don't take good pictures.

@emperormorton I try my best to look at it as a challenge and reason to be a more skilled as a photographer.

@adam_g2000 I know what you mean. It is times like that I am a little jealous of my wife with her digital SLR when she can keep snapping.
