So... for this first blog entry I will go through all the phases in my lomography history and my favourite photos, hope you enjoy!!
Once upon a time in 2004 I wanted a new camera and my sister’s birthday present was an ActionSampler Flash! My first reaction was “What the f****** is this??” However, as I have it and loaded with film and so on, I started playing with it and … you all know … I became addicted! :P
The noise, the four flashes… people reactions…
From the first rolls I loved a special one, it made me think of the film Blue Velvet, dunno why, and of someone committing suicide, really WEIRD.
At that epoch, too, many experiments were made with the different use of the flashes, doing hand-portraits with the feet, food experiments … Don’t blame on me! It was not my fault but Paris one!! (yes … that city has an overwhelming personality, and perhaps she made me mad ;) )
Then after, the ActionSampler was allways the queen in parties, trips … Everybody wanted to give it a try :D
I loved very much my cam, yet I felt it was not very healthy thinking always on 4… so the LCA+ was my new friend. As I did not want the Sampler to be jealous, I introduced one to the other so they could get on well together:
Many rolls passed by, and in Brazil the LCA+ gave me wonderful shots.
Perhaps she was exhausted or been mistreated with sand and water but now she is almost dead, sniff sniff…
Don’t worry, the odds were with me and I rediscovered the old cam from my dad, a simple and pretty rangefinder, the Petri7SII , in love now with her and Berlin! :D
More news to come, more cams to come …
