I returned home from New York City with almost 100 Fuji Instax photographs and they are perfect little glimpses of the streets of NYC. I love how Instax, like Polaroids, give a raw sense of the moment the photographs were taken, as if a little piece of time is preserved in that little piece of emulsion.
Sharp, punchy, quick, smooth. It costs a little more but also gives a lot more. The "VC" in this Kodak film's name stands for Vivid Colour and it gives that, even in tricky light situations!
Oh Kodak Portra 400 VC, how I love thee! I love your beautiful, discontinued beauty, your vivid colours, your generous speed...I love you even more when you are nestled in my Diana Mini as I walk the streets of New York!

WOT? Is this serious? And I can tell you it's super simple, almost everyone can do it with a cellphone in their pocket.

Love at first shot...my whirlwind romance with the La Sardina. Who knew that a camera modelled on a sardine can could be so sexy and functional?
On my first trip to New York City this July, on a super hot sunny day, I did the right-of-passage walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. It has always been known to be a photographic mecca, so one camera just wasn't enough.
Is the day a bit overcast and gloomy? Are you not sure if the sun will poke its head out of the clouds? Are you using a fixed shutter-speed camera? Well, Lomography CN 800 35mm film is for you!
Isn't it about time photographers had their own funny and quirky web series?

I've only shot a couple of rolls so far and there is definitely more this compact beast can see than the viewfinder will show you. It's wide, it's sharp, it's fast, it's small and it shoots analogue masterpieces with no fuss.
