Tokina AT-X 17-35mm f/4 Pro FX and a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L USM on a Canon EOS 50E. Possibly my two favorite lenses, lacking the EF 50mm f/1.4 USM. This Tokina is built like a tank, and a joy to work with. The EF 70-200 sadly is white, so everyone sees you with this monster. But the quality of the glass, especially with color photos, is unmatched. And the camera, well..it's solid enough. It only has 3 focussing points, but you can control them with your eye, and it actually works! © Titanium Mike

In May of this year I picked up a vintage AGFA Isolette I in phenomenally good condition. Usually I have to give the cameras a bit of a cleaning, but this one was perfect. Even the bellows are in seemingly new condition. These are shots from the first roll I've put through it.

On a sunny cold holiday Monday, I took a break from a reno project I was doing at home and drove out to the R.C. Harris Water Filtration Plant at the eastern end of the Toronto Beaches. This is Toronto's largest water treatment plant and it supplies clean water to most of the city. Unfortunately for me, It's been under renovation for a few years due to the installation of a new internal holding tank. I'll have to return one day when the construction is over an reshoot this Art Deco masterpiece of urban architecture.

Sometime last year a friend at the Lomography Gallery Store here inToronto showed me a strange black & white film called "ORWO TC27 Traffic Control Film". Apparently it's an ISO 400 film from Germany. It's got some decent grain to it and deep dark blacks. Good contrast too. The problem is this: there is only one photolab in the entire city that can process this film. Luckily, it's one I go to regularly for my processing needs (Toronto Image Works).
