The will to play

I played in different bands, different genres, rock, alternative, pop, reggae… I went through a period where I produced electronic music and played live at rave parties. Like I said, loads of different types of music. Six years ago, I discovered this piano composer that some of you probably heard of. Mister Philip Glass, a true master in classical minimal piano and a fantastic orchestral composer.
An album of his, Solo Piano, accompanied me countless nights ever since.
Two Years ago, I finally bought myself a digital piano. A Yamaha P-85, which has a very decent sound for a digital piano (I promised myself to buy a real grand piano when i have the money to live in a big house). Ever since, the piano, just like my guitar 16 years ago, has been a part of me. The first song I learnt to play, by ear, because I didn’t know how to read piano sheets before, is a song called Metamorphosis One by Philip Glass, which you are listening to right now (please let me know if you like the piece)

I thank you all for reading this story and hope I’ve made some of you fall in love with Philip Glass music =)
