Crossing The Border

Having two homes is not easy, especially when those two homes are over 350 kilometers away from each other. That also means that I travel a lot.

My chosen way of going home2home is by train. It is fast, you can work, sleep, look out of the window, read and take photos. Or videos.
My two homes are also in two countries: Germany and the Netherlands. With Schengen there are no borders anymore (though there sometimes are controls in direction of Germany and we do not start talking about Denmark…) within Europe.
But there used to be a border.
Sitting in the train I always try to see when I am on the other side. Where is the point of being in another country? When am I there? When in transition?
At a certain point it gets clear. Different houses, car number boards, street signs,… But in between?

Maybe you can see the line in my video?
