It was another meeting with the family. And it was like every year. they arrive at three in the afternoon, eat cake, have coffee and talk. Around six it is time for dinner and afterwards everybody is gone before eight in the evening. The only thing that changes is what they eat and the number of people.
This year I discovered a SLR in my camera shelf – the Ricoh KR10x, I loaded it with a 400iso film and started shooting.
After focussing on the faces I found it way more interesting to shoot the hands only. As we had grilled chicken, people used their hands to eat. I really like the results and the different hands…
So now my father is one year older… But not wiser. He still feeds the dog at the table…

Oh, and father’s day is in Germany connected to Ascension (Christi Himmelfahrt). So all men (father or not) drink alcohol the entire day. I am not sure if it is meant to be like that….
