  • On the quest to find the Tiare Apetahi

    shared by vicuna on 2011-06-22

The Tiare Apetahi is a very rare flower in Polynesia. You can find this flower only on Raiatea Island where some rare species are still growing. To see her, you need to climb up during 3 hours towards the top of the Mount Temehani (around 1000m high). Once you're there, you must search carefully to find one of these flowers but also be carefull to not damage them. It's a very precious and protected flower on Raiatea, making it to the symbol of the island.

Somehow I managed to damage my camera, but I didn't know it until later, then I get 4 damaged films back from the lab. Apparently, one of the aperture shores wasn't opening, so I scanned films as the panoramas...

Why this is my favorite lomograph? Because when I shot this I do that "Don't Think Just Shoot" Action! He was posing for somebody else then I just shot him with my LC-A+ then BOOM!

When I saw this rainbow, I ran into my house to grab the Sprocket Rocket, put the first film I found inside and shoot it before it disapeared... :)
