  • Return of the Sunburst

I found the 'Bucksprock Sunburst' mask I made over a year ago taped to my bookshelf and decided to give it another go to celebrate the return of the sun to southern England this morning :-). Shot on Portra 800, exposed as 400 to compensate for slight loss of light caused by the mask.

Went to Greenwich, London, on Film Photography Day (11 April 2015). Got disappointing results with this home-redscaled Lomography CN 800 with a Lomo LC-Wide and homemade splitzer. I got much better redscale results with this film before on a bright but cloudy day, like this one here: http://www.lomography.com/homes/buckshot/albums/1999399-winter-solstice-ebs/19238490

Went to Greenwich, London, on Film Photography Day (11 April 2015). Got a surprising mix of blues and greens on this cross-processed Precisa with a Horizon Perfekt. Seems the greens get more pronounced in brighter sunlight. Will remember to underexpose if I x-pro this film again.

Last shot left on a roll of Precisa I had in my Perfekt - not a bad one to end with! Thanks a lot for your visit :-)

Extremely happy with these first rolls in the Christmas present I bought myself this year: a Mamiya C330 Professional TLR, from about 1970, for which I paid £200. And the annual classic car meeting in my town, on a sunny April morning, was the perfect occasion to test it. I think I just might have found myself a new favourite medium-format camera...! :-)

Just a simple roll to get some more practice at home-processing with the #Tetenal B&W kit I got a while ago. Really enjoying the developing experience!

Further trials with the 'exposing both sides' (EBS) technique on 220 medium-format roll film. Shot with my homemade Buckshot EBS Revolver camera at the ruins of Waverley Abbey, a Cistercian monastery founded in 1128. For full details about this camera, see here: http://goo.gl/VeOllX
