Second test with Holga filter and Diana Close Up, I used the LC-A+ because here, in Kunming, is not easy to use 120 mm ... I prefer to test on 35mm These lomo are with Holga Filters, Splitzer, Diana Close Up, Tunnel Vision and Macro Lens from Tunnel Vision. This lomo is made with splitzer and Macro Lens from Tunnel Vision

The tipster section of the lomography magazine is something that always interests me - specially reading about crazy experiments with films. The dishwasher experiment by the lab rats at the lomo headquarter resulted in awesome shots that really made me say Wow! I also thought I should give it a try. During breaks between outreach performances to flood-affected communities, I had the time to make my crazy attempt. But the problem was I don't have a dishwasher at home. While I immediately thought the washing machine may be a good substitute, I was a bit concerned about the water temperature and the cycle time. Undaunted with my limitations, I opted to approximate the same effect by simply boiling my films and giving them a cold bath and drying afterwards as the tipster suggested. The results on the doubles I did on vintage portraits and images of paintings by renowned graffiti artist Basquiat I must say are very encouraging. This is the first of two albums.

    shared by hodachrome on 2012-06-16

First trial of EBS. Shot twice on correct side first, in a sunny/bright day, at ISO400(ISO800 film inside), with a splitzer. After finished a roll, reverse the film (in a dark-room). Then shot twice on redscale side as the same way as 1st run, in a cloudy/rainy day, at ISO200, with a splitzer. It's tough challenge because I had to wait for the best weather for each shots, and had to be careful with 'gaps' between frames. This is not bad result but I found some mistakes. Will test again!!!

First trial of EBS. Shot on correct side first in a sunny/bright day, at ISO400(ISO800 film inside). Below half was masked with a splitzer. After finished a roll, reverse the film (in a dark-room). Then start shooting on redscale side in a cloudy/rainy day, at ISO200. Upper half was masked with a splitzer. The order of each location is precisely the same as 1st shots. I took notes in details about locations and shot all places with iPhone, to remember locations. It's tough challenge because I had to wait for the best weather for each shots, and had to be careful with 'gaps' between frames. This is not bad result but I found some mistakes. Will test again!!!
