~55 years ago, my father and his friend Ignacio at DWP would catch baskets of pigeons and take them to the nuns at the Los Angeles County Orphanage, who would fricasee them and serve them on rice to the children. They were tasty. My father and Ignacio were roofers for DWP.

@herbert-4 I bet they taste like chicken! :-) The reason I took this shot is the apathy of the birds, you could step on them and they just won't move or fly away, they just sit...

^^Pigeons in Chicago are exactly the same. They just sit, eat, and get fat (and tasty?)
