Beltane Festival 2010

The Beltane Festival is a celebration of summer. It follows the story of the May Queen and the rebirth of the Green Man in a eclectic show of fire and dancing. People paint themselves blue, red, white and green and dance naked to rhythmic drum beats. It is a way of bringing good luck for the harvest later in the year and to keep out evil otherworldy spirits.
