I took a chance on a roll of Kodak Ektachrome Elite II 100 film which expired in 1998. It wasn't well-stored so I had the lowest expectations of the $3 discontinued slide film. But after using it on my trip to Boracay, I ended up loving the photos and now want to buy the rest of the deadstock! Find out why here.

A web developer by profession and a skater and fingerboarder on the side, Fabian ---or faaabii, as we know him in the community--- divides most of his time between flipping tricks for websites and on boards of different sizes, and indulging in analogue photography. Bored by the crisp reality of digital, he stumbled upon Lomography around five years ago and has been addicted ever since. He now owns over two dozen analogue cameras, a dozen or so accessories, and more than a hundred rolls of film on hand. A round of applause please, for faaabii and his fantastic camera collection!

Last winter (Dec. 2011), a friend and I took a trip to Arizona. I thought I'd take my mom's old Canonet ql17 gIII and snap some pics, do something different. Little did I know, that the rangefinder would throw me head first into the world of analogue.

Held at the Summer Solstice every year, this fair has been running with a Pagan vibe since 1980. Everyone is welcome and it is frequented by Edmontonians since it's only 3 hours away. Also, family friendly camping is available.

Before I became a lomographer, I knew nothing about film and analogue photography, until I joined this community 8 months ago. I did some research before I bought my first Lomography camera. I was looking for a camera which is reasonably cheap and is capable of producing good photos, and that is how I met my dearest Holga 135 BC.
