My first tintypes, (very roughly) inspired by Alice in Wonderland

4x5 Dry-Plate Tintype, taken with a Graflex Crown Graphic. Spreading the photosensitive emulsion onto the tinplate and figuring out the correct exposure is rather tricky indeed. The blue cast on the corners is due to underfixing I think. The plate actually isn' that yellow in reality but does have a yellowish hue.The scanner is still a mystery to me.

laurasulilly Taken by laurasulilly with a Graflex Crown Graphic loaded with Rockland Tintype Kit film in Berlin, Germany. This photo can also be found in the album Tintypes.
