A Small Compilation of Self Portraits

Looking back through my albums for this article request, I've noticed that I actually don't have a lot of self portraits. I'm going to make this my mission going forward, but in the meantime, here are the very few I found and the stories behind them...

    Spring Festivities: Apple Blossom Day

I love spring. In fact, it's one of my favorite seasons. Trees and flowers are starting to blossom, the evenings are getting lighter, and summer is only around the corner. With this in mind, I thought I'd share this little nugget of pure Springtime-loveliness for when any of you happen to wander down to the West Country.

The Gap Years: My Year Away: Part 1

Although not strictly speaking of a "Gap Year", in 2002, my friend and I decided to buy a one-way ticket to Australia via Thailand and Singapore. Spike Island, Bristol

Last April, some Bristolian friends of mine took me to Spike Island. I've been to Bristol a fair few times but didn't have a clue about this place. What used to be the home of the Brooke Bond Tea Company now houses over 70 studios for artists, writers, and sculptures and while there are often exhibitions, workshops, and courses on offer once a year, they open up their studios to the public.

Most Memorable Travel Escapade of 2011? An Affair With Cornwall

Looking back at 2011, I'm reminded of the fantastic year that I had. A birthday trip to New York (which was bloody amazing), lovely weddings shared with friends, lots of live music and during the summer, a gorgeous excursion to Cornwall. This was extra special as the main reason for the trip was due to one of my oldest friends marrying. Perfect!

    When I Grow Up

Having dug about in Grandparents' attics, rummaged through old drawers and "borrowed" from family albums, I have found some fantastic old shots from way back when.

    No Sleep 'til Brooklyn

New York, New York - the city that never sleeps...the Big Apple. After years of longing to visit, I finally got the chance last month and LOVED it!
