Elation at the thought of rambling inanely about photos and my upcoming exhibition and the release of my Book, to even more people!
This is great to have this facility back, thank you Lomo. I am of course typing away here when really I should be preparing for my Exhibition in Dulwich South London which I have coming up in FOUR days! now I’m not being relaxed about this it’s just that after todays events trying to get moronic printers to see and understand the subtleties in colour that I rquire in my C-Types I need a clear head to start mounting the second batch of images I have had done. So obviously procrastinating in a useful way is what I’m going to do!!
I’m curious what others think when they get there images printed by others that really do not have the same vision, now I would love to have had them all done under an enlarger but time is not on my side and I thought digital files to a C-Type noritsu printer would be fine, not the case. I work on a mac which has been callibrated to work with PC’s etc but seriously when the prints come out so dark that the details are lost it is not just a matter of vision as I was told! I’ve done enough prints and they all had to have the same adjustment. If it was my prints then there would have been more of a fluctuation in print adjustment. Anyway rant over I am lucky enough to have a show in a very nice part of South London and just before Christmas as well!
My book is out and I’m hoping to have some copies available for the show, it contains a lot of your faved images, its called “Pinhole and Plastic” has 102 pages of pinholes and toy camera shots and is available from Blurb at http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/1658161
I might just set up a little christmas competition to win a print featured in the book!
In the meantime I’m going to get this show on the road as they say.
