Bridge on White River Trail

Rail bridge on White River bike trail in Indianapolis, IN

Indianapolis is very bike friendly with many great trails connecting downtown with points north and east via the White River Trail, the Towpath Canal Trail, Fall Creek Trail, and the Monon Trail. This bridge is located on the White River Trail just south of 16th St. We love to ride from downtown to Broad Ripple via the Monon Trail and back via the Canal Towpath with a stop at either Butler University or the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA) which has beautiful grounds and free admission.

I shot these photos on Tri-X film using my Leica C1 camera.

I forgot to mention the Cultural Trail that connects Indy’s diverse cultural districts via a great urban bike trail (Indiana Avenue, White River State Park and the Canal, the Wholesale District, Mass Ave., and Fountain Square)
