Scanning with a Canoscan 9000F

Scanners are wonderful things, and the idea that Canon has made a scanner that not only scans film in high-quality but also comes with masks for the purpose is brilliant. I found, however, that the software tries to be too intelligent sometimes. At first I couldn’t get it to stop only looking for 35mm standard shots with my Sprocket Rocket and Spinner 360 shots. The manual wasn’t helping me (it’s probably in there, but I was getting frustrated), but I found this video that helped immensely:

So that’s what all of those icons on the screen mean! The scanner model isn’t the same, but the interface is close enough in this video to be massively helpful to me.
