The hardest work I have is where I have to craft a piece that does a bunch of things. I have to write to a certain length (don’t want it to be too long), and my style is to attempt to evoke a sensory experience, bridging that with what people would understand about the setting or event. They then fill in the details. It allows for detail without an endless string of adjectives.
