I've finished my nine undeveloped rolls of C-41 film; here's how it all turned out.
My scanner comes tomorrow. No more blog entries that are just walls of text.
But more importantly, my film squeegee comes tomorrow as well. Despite using a bit of PhotoFlo at the end of the development process, I get spots and streaks on my negatives. I think rewetting the negatives, using just a drop of PhotoFlo, and then the squeegee will take care of them. At least, that’s the plan. I’ll report back on that.
But now I have the issue of having three 32oz bottles of chemicals that are starting to get tired. They’ll be good for another 3-6 rolls, but after, that, I really hate to dispose of them improperly. A few people have looked at me sheepishly and suggested I just dump them down the drain, but that seems like a terrible thing to do, especially here, by the shores of Lake Superior, and some of the most pristine freshwater on the planet. If anyone has any ideas, I’m all ears.
A final note: my Spinner 360 is enjoying the really cold weather exactly zero percent. I’m working an overnight festival on Wednesday night, and I’m going to have to devise a way to keep it warm enough to use. There must be a way to get it to stay in my internal jacket pocket…
