a year ago, i set myself the goal to shoot one roll of film / publish one album every week in 2013. and yes, I DID IT! woohooo! :)
i even outdid myself a little by posting 54 albums, made out of 60 rolls of film. if you’re interested, here is a little statistics of the films and cameras i used:
- 20 rolls of color negative flm
- 19 rolls of slide film
- 14 rolls of black&white film
- 7 rolls of redscale film
- 32 rolls of 120 film
- 22 rolls of 35mm film
- 2 rolls of 110 film
- 4 packs of instant film
i took most of the pictures with my diana f+ camera (12), the lubitel 166+ (12) and the holga (7), but overall i photographed with 15 different cameras.
here is one photo of each album:
and there is also a blog entry for every album/week here: blog entries 2013
it’s pretty cool to see them all together and i’m quite proud that i took so many different pictures. i certainly wouldn’t have shot so many rolls of film, if it wasn’t for this challenge.
of course there are some photos/albums that didn’t turn out so well, but i’m glad that i tried it, since you can learn from failure too.
my favourite albums are definitely the photo series with a theme.
sure, you can get great pictures from snapshots too, but for me an idea and setting something up/going to a nice location are the essentials for shooting awesome photos.
i also want to thank you all for following my project, liking my pictures and reading my blog.
HUGE HUGE THANKS! YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!
so these are your top 10, my last year’s photos you liked most:
i won’t be doing the the one-roll-a-week-challenge this year again, but i sure will continue to take pictures and post some new albums from time to time. after all i do still have a pile of ideas ln store, just waiting to get realized and captured on film.
so once again thanks and see you soon with new photos! :)
