week 22: strange stories

once upon a time... in black and white, color negative and x-pro.

the initial concept for this photo project was to create some pictures with a fairy-tale vibe. this changed quite a bit during the time from the first ideas to the actual photo shoot. the result is more like a fashion shoot with weird accessories, dark and strange, with a hint of melancholy. although there are still some fairy-tale-like objects in the shots, for example the apple and the mirror.

i shot a roll of lomography lady grey 400 in my holga:

a roll of lomography color negative 800 in my diana f+:

and a roll of lomography peacock 200 in my batacon teleflash:

i also took some pictures with my digital camera, you can check them out here: digital
i think i perhaps like them better… well, at least after they have “fallen into photoshop” ;)

and finally: big thanks to my lovely sister for modeling and for putting up with my weird ideas! :)

have a look at all the analog pictures here: strange stories

Well, even after a photoshop session the digital pics do not boast that vintage and melancholic look the analogue photos have. Great job.

ok, why not... After, I'd like to understand what's going on in your mind for start a project like this? What are your inspirations? (Movies, music, books..).

@olivier_g yes, i do read a lot and watch lots of movies/tv shows... but i don't think that i have a specific source for inspiration. those ideas just pop up in my head ;) plus i rather create something new than just take pictures of something that is already there.
