  • Masada - The Ancient Palace with a Dramatic History

Masada - The Ancient Palace with a Dramatic History
Masada is an ancient palace and fortification in the South District of Israel on top of an isolated rock plateau on the eastern edge of the Judean Desert, which has got a very dramatic history. During one siege of the Roman Empire everyone in this place led to suicide instead of slavery...
  • Dead Sea Beaches

    Dead Sea Beaches
The Dead Sea with salty water let's you float so you can not drown...
  • Mud hiking

    Mud hiking
Mountains are adventurers best friends, right? If you go there in winter, you can have a loads of snow, skiing tours and so on. If you travel there in summer, hiking, climbing and things like that are all your options. But if you, like me, go there during the first days of the spring, you can get into a very difficult to judge situation.
  • Levoca oldtown

    Levoca oldtown
Levoca is nothing special when you're looking to the map of eastern Slovakia. If you are traveling in this area (national parks, castles and so on), it would be a crime not to stop in the Levoca town. Take a break near the gate of Kosice, which is a monument and of course the main doors to the old town treasures of this beautiful town.
  • Hiking in Terchova

    Hiking in Terchova
I just adore mountains... Especially when I can feel them with my feet. I mean, hiking is one of the best options if you want to rearrange your ideas, reinstall the mind and have hours of time spent with yourself.
  • Vilkija ferry place

    Vilkija ferry place
There are two ways to reach the Baltic coast of Lithuania traveling from the most of other lithuanian or european places. The first one and the fastest is the highway (lithuanian "autostrada"): higher speeds, two lanes and the journey lasts not so long.
  • Terchova

    Terchova
Ahoy, you mountain lovers! Ahoy, you hikers and extreme leisure activity fans! This is a story from the heart of Mala Fatras mountainous region in Slovakia's north-west. It is not so easy to find it, so please take a look at the map. OK, first thing when you get there, you need to find a place to stay (that's easy - a lot of motels, hotels, accommodation offers from the natives and so on).
  • Poprad

    Poprad
If you're interested in High Tatras situated in Slovakia, then you just have to make an appointment with a city, called Poprad. Poprad has an historic centre, an international airport and, what is most interesting for us, lomographers - an attractive Tatranská elektrická železnica (Tatra Electric Railway).
  • St. Stephen's Cathedral (Vienna)

    St. Stephen's Cathedral (Vienna)
Ever felt so strange and like being totally childish mistaken with something? Now I have this feeling when I am trying to submit a place, that could be natural and boring for all the Austrian Lomographers, including the mighty LSI. That is the St. Stephan's Cathedral right in the center of the Vienna oldtown...
  • Vratna Free Time Zone

    Vratna Free Time Zone
Vratna the name that left a huge impact in my memory bank and in my Lomography archive. It is a small place, even not a village – just a cable-car station with some cafes, a restaurant and a huge parking lot for your car. But if you're wise enough, you'll come there by bus...
  • Liškiava Monastery Complex

    Liškiava Monastery Complex
Never stop getting excited hearing stories about superb locations in unknown places. I did understand that after visiting some small towns around my home, that I did not know they exist. For example, this Liškiava town is one of my pearls right now – I would advice everyone to visit it. It is a small village in south of Lithuania, but it's not the village itself.
  • Kėdainiai Old Town

    Kėdainiai Old Town
Right in the geographical center of Europe, lies a town, called Kėdainiai. At first glance, even to Lithuanians this town is an urban place, where people do make a lot of chemical stuff, do a lot of gardening (it is called the capital of cucumbers), but it is kind of unique with it's history and old-town. There is a thinking that the name of the town comes from one of the traders of the old times, Mr. Keidangen, who bought a small fishing port. Yes, the town lies on both sides of river Nevėžis, and the it has the 4th old town in Lithuania (only the major towns did rescue it during the wars).
  • Vlkolínec (UNESCO Village)

    Vlkolínec (UNESCO Village)
Let's be straight forward - you are going to hear about a unique place, that is in the center of Europe, and you have maybe even never heard about it.
  • High Tatras (Tatranska Lomnica)

    High Tatras (Tatranska Lomnica)
The High Tatras are one of the smallest and, let's be honest, one of the cheapest to visit mountains in the whole Europe. But, mister Criticism, let's start things from another side. It has high altitudes, huge snow and brilliant skiing routes in winter, and it can offer beginner-intermediate routes for hiking in summer. What is more, the places are clean, beautiful and capturing the breath.
  • The Deepest Lake in Lithuania

    The Deepest Lake in Lithuania
Welcome to Lithuania, the country sometimes called "the land of the lakes"... And if you're interested in lakes, let's go to the one, that is named the deepest lake of Lithuania, Tauragnas. The little village near it is called after the name of the lake, Tauragnai (different ending only). The lake is 60,5 m deep and what is more, this lake also has the highest "up the sea level" of all the lakes in Lithuania (165 m).
  • Kaltanėnai Village

    Kaltanėnai Village
This is another tiny village of Lithuania, but again - with at least 4 interesting things to mention. First of all, the name is taken after the lake, which is situated in village. The second interesting thing to know - this is the place, where all main roads of the national park meet, that is why this little tiny village looks shiny and has got even hotels to offer something for tourists.
  • Ginučiai village

    Ginučiai village
This is the place, which can be called the best possible place to rest. The village Ginučiai is very small, maybe about 20-30 houses, but still this is one of the most popular places between the people who seek calm and relaxing place for their holidays. The village is situated in the national park of Aukstaitija (one of the districts in Lithuania), that is why there are a lot of lakes near it, rivers, hills (where there were castles long time ago).
  • Lomnicky Stit

    Lomnicky Stit
Hello there, height lovers! I am just in love with Slovakian Tatras, to be precise - the High Tatras, or as the natives call them Vysokye Tatry. These mountains are situated in the north of the country, and right near the mountain there is a small road (called the route of love, or just Nr.537). On that road there are a lot of relaxation and tourism towns, often beloved by winter sports lovers, but during the summer (or even spring) you can still find a lot to do there.
