Very cool and haunting. I had to look up the Goddess Saraswatis to find out who she was. I noticed that in some images she is represented with 4 arms and in others only two. I know so little about these things but that was interesting. And I learned a little about her and what she represents.

@alienmeatsack …. these were idols in the process of being completed..hence some with 4 arms..and others with 2 and the so on…it was interesting for me as well..coming from another part of India..to see such large scale preparations on the road side…by local artists...

goddess in the making..

driving back from south tripura, in the north east of india.. a delight..!!!!!..Goddess Saraswatis being "created"...!!!....and in the fast fading evening light, they appear ghostly and a bit scary too....with their faces that seem glow in anticipation of their sacred future..!!...made from the earth...these "goddesses in the making" were a joy to meet... Saraswati is the Hindu goddess of knowledge, music, arts, science and she is revered deeply in these parts.
