Pahiyas is one the most extravagant festival here in the Philippines. It is celebrated every May 15 by the people of Lucban, Quezon to honor San Isidro Labrador who is the patron saint of farmers and to give him thanks for a bountiful harvest. This is the time when the small town transforms from ordinary villages into elaborately decorated houses.
