Scilly from Kelynack by Jonathan Polkest

I beg to inform Lomolodgers of an account of the boundaries and position of the Cornish Serpentine formation. occourring in the vicinity of the Lizard Promonatory. I have followed the complete outline of the coast from Loe Pool to the Helford River, and by crossing the interior of Cornwall in various directions have, I believe, made out the junctions with as much accuracy as the state of enclosure will permit. There being no map with the elevations distinguished , I have been obliged to content myself with marking out the boundaries by placing any number of small axe-head shaped pebbles found in the Mounts Bay, Gwavas Lake and enscribing said stones with a motif in Brythonic language, "GOTHVOS", which is then photographed and the stone left there whilst the photographer goes forth to another location. These stones may stay for as long or shorter time as they must.Carried not by birds but often I have glanced upon the casual curious for whome such booty is irresistable.
