Making Pinhole Cameras
Making forty pinhole cameras for a workshop in Hitchin Herts, lots of black foamcore, lots of white foam core, a bit of brass shim, a....well, several actually, no.10 needles, black gaffer tape, pva glue, tracing paper for the viewer. My old wooden model is on the left of this picture, the polaroid 5x4 back is visable in both cameras, the new foamcore model is on the right looking a bit proto in its livery, soon enthusiastic students will decorate their way to camera euphoria transforming their little kits into personal expressions of their identities....more gaffer tape? The focal length of both cameras was determined by one Leonardo Da Vinci's Codex Atlanticus but determining the guage of the pinhole is a bit of a challenge as the relatively simple act of purchasing a number 10 needle is not as simple as it might appear......"Number Ten?, "Number Ten in what style of needle", theres room for marginal tweaking but but I strongly urge the borrowing of a Vernier Caliper Guage
