Anonyme Zeichner/Montage Barba -Polkest

The Filmaker EISENSTEIN wrote of Goya's View of Toledo (there is an authentic version, in my opinion, of this similar subject by D,Hockney talking about the Emporerors river scroll).....However....Eisenstein "This view of Toledo is not possible from any ACTUAL point of view, It is a mounted complex, a representation composed by means of Montage of objects,'photographed' in isolation, ,which in n ature mask each other or have their backs to the observer'. The Painting, is, in short, composed of; 'of elements taken one by one and united in an arbitary construction, re-aligned which is non existent from a single point of view but which is fully consistent with respect to the internal logic of the composition'. And again; El Greco did this painting at home, in his studio (which? ed.)That is to say, it is not a naturalistic factually or geometrically correct rendering of an actual view, it is based on knowledge to a far greater degree than being based on geometry or measured drawing. Not based on a single point of view, but on assembling of isolated motifs collected while walking through the city and the suburbs.Montage is fundamental with regard to the effect the actions must have on the spectator. It guides the spectators senses through the dramatic (performance) fabric (text) letting the spectator experience the performance text. The Director GUIDES, DIVIDES And reassembles the spectators attention by means of the performers actions, the words of the text, the relationships, the music, the sound, the light etc.
