Step 3; THE COURAGE OF INTERPRETATION. What do you think is actually happening in the artwork you have been analyzing ? What, for example, might the artist be saying by creating the artwork? You cannot be 'wrong' by making simple statements that begin with "I", such as "I'm agitated by the bold colour in this piece" or "this landscape reminds me of my fathers earlobes"facts are by definition quite slippery, your fathers ear may look like something quite pink, your interpretation is valid if it is expressed personally and backed up by the previous two steps.
