Owls are birds of prey and what I most like about Owls is that they like to do things at night alone, Owls are a species of STRIGIFORM, and divide into two distinctive groups or families ; STRIIDAE and TYTHONYDEA the latter being the more comely Barn Owl type. The smallest Owl is the Elf Owl, trying saying that to a Spanish policeman after a glass of Jumilia,I'm fairly certain that my favourite Owl is The Snowy Owl, but I'm keen to admire The Eurasian Eagle Owl (bubo bubo) comparable only to Blakistons Fish Owl (Bubo Blakiston) either have a Two Metre wingspan......if you're looking for a feel good factor check out pictures of Long Eared Owls and feel good to be alive. Owls are far sighted birds without the ability to see much within a few inches of their faces, their far-vision in twighlight can only be envied, they can turn their heads Exorcist style - 135 degrees in either direction, they can remove unsightly back hair, if they had any, Different species of owls makes different sounds the majority of whoops etc is a mating call or a territorial announcement intended exclusively for the listening owl populace.The fact that an owls face is a round shap like a Goonhilly Sattelite tracking dish helps to get the message across whilst being darned useful as an owl listening device when on the lookout for rustling mice, twitching shrews, noisy hamsters and grasshoppers who for the very first time are alowed out late.....ahhhh, (all good things come to an end - Nelly Furtado) Owl eggs are like white balls but if you get a chance of close inspection they are not a perfect sphere, don't tamper with birds eggs except the ones in boxes in supermarkets, Owls lay a lot of eggs and their nests wouldnt win any design awards, the juveniles all come out at staggered intervals so you get a good range of family representations.Owls have the ability to fly in almost perfect silenc
