how i stumbled apon lomography and it was love at first sight
I decided one year I wanted a DSLR for christmas, I had a few in mind but never settled, none really stood out to me. Then one morning, I read the Sunday paper, (The Mail on Sunday) and the magazine that came with it (Live). I was flicking through it when I stumbled apon a double page spread on lomography. It was dedicated to shots FULL of character, and those analogue cameras were the ones that ‘spoke’ to me. The page was alive with shots of saturated colour, distorted images from fisheyes and multilens camera shots. It was then that I found Lomography, I was so excited by it all, I found the Lomography website instantly and within a few weeks had a Supersampler.
Lots of experimenting, saving, a Fisheye and a Diana F+ later it’s December 2010 and I haven’t looked back (and haven’t gotten that DSLR).
