I've grown up in church. Born into a Christian home. But never have I been familiar with an event called "Fine Arts." It's a HUGE competition that the churches of the Assemblies of God hold every year where thousands of teens use their gifts and compete against the best in the District and the best in the Nation. This was my first and last year competing in the Photography, Traditional category and I won both at Districts and Nationals!

Dear LC-W, I know we've just only met, but i think i love you.

Things to consider when visiting DC: (1) you WiLL do a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes. (2) stay at least a week. you won't get all the tourist spots and museums in a day. (3) Take the Metro, because parking in the city is mad expensive. (4) Take lots of snacks, water, packed lunches, and/or eat outside the city, because the McDonald's in the Air&Space museum alone would set you back $40.

Fine Arts Festival is a discipleship tool of national youth ministries designed to "help students discover, develop and deploy their ministry gifts." Beginning in September each year, over 70,000 junior and senior high school students begin preparing their entries for the District and National Fine Arts Festivals. Students may enter as many as 58 categories offered in 8 main divisions: Art, Communication, Dance, Drama, Exhibition, Instrumental, Vocal, and Writing. (http://faf.ag.org/)

I don't like rules. I don't play too well with the seriousness of photography. I actually like to have fun. My friend told me photographing weddings is where the money is. I tried it...and I didn't like it. I got so caught up in making the picture "perfect" only to make the picture that much worse.

Oh the technology today! With the SoftBox Pro iPhone/iPad app, you have your very own portable SoftBox and film LightBox! Now available in the iTunes App Store.

This is happening almost everywhere I go: "Ma'am what are you taking pictures for?" "I'm sorry you can't take pictures without the manager's permission." So I tried to shoot from the hip....not very successful with a prime lens.

This was submitted as a Tipster, but I couldn't wait to see what it looked like! haha.

The Review:
This bag is pretty cool. I used this pack for my trip to DC. Easy and lightweight; It held most of my camera accessories, but there weren’t enough padded pockets for more lenses. You could fit one D/SLR body and one lens kit in the main camera compartment; the rest of the pockets are good for camera accessories for one camera.

No tv, no MacBook, no iPhone/texting...oy vey

I'm starting to become obsessed with black and white photography.

Apparently, you have to decrease the ISO for the second exposure. You can't just cock the switch and expect something great. Plus, you first exposure should be bright and your second exposure should be dark...or is it the other way around?? see what i mean!
-
I bought the film without reading any reviews and thought I'd use it and make one myself. What I forgot to do, was set the ISO correctly!
