Please correct me if I’m wrong, I found this unusual lothes as a glamour fashion on the street.

Nowaday in Indonesia the traditional glamorous clothes is such a hype fashion in every class of girl and woman. One Sunday morning there are college student wearing such an avant garde mix traditional and modern fashion at Dago car free day.

Come to Dago car free day every Sunday morning make me interesting to shoot the glamorous fashion which combined with traditional touch on the street. For example this governor event, I shoot the model from the side while she was did the iconic model pose.

Hmm, seems like I haven’t give a tipster or sharing my experience yet. Ok, let me try, my experience when snap the vibrant red clothes with Fuji Velvia 100 which producing red velvet tone made the aura of traditional clothes come out. So the first tipster if you want your fashion photo look glamorous, use the film which will producing vibrant tone/color.

Don’t use very expired film if you want your object clothes’s color look awesome, because expired film will made it look disappear.

And get as close as possible if your camera didn’t have a zoom option or your photo will not look like a fashion photo like the photo below.

Because Indonesian known as a friendly people, so be prepeare if the model didn’t walk as a usual catwalk model. They will dance like crazy friendly Indonesian =p

The best thing when shoot fashion on the street is there are so many unpredictable thing happen, like when this old fashionable grandpa walk in front of the model. My intuition said I shoot push the shutter and I did it.

Find a fresh film, except you want to experience with expired film and color is not the priority of your fashion photo. This model clothes is very glamorous and crazy out of the box but very dark because I use bad expired film.

Last, maybe learn to communicating with the model is the best way to make a great fashion photo. Sadly I’m not good communicating with people since I’m a shy border and anti-social person, but I’m try and still learning everytime I did a lomowalk.
