For Jawa Barat (West Java), Indonesia folk, Persib Bandung is not just a football club, it’s an icon of Sundanese & Jawa Barat.
Circa 1989 I remember when my dad bring me to the Siliwangi stadium to watch Persib Bandung. It was the first time I went to the stadium. Eventhough I haven’t know what a football was at that time because I was only kindergarten student, but that happiness moment always come to my mind everytime I come across Siliwangi stadium.
But since the first time I watch Persib in 1989, I haven’t watch my fave football club again in Siliwangi stadium because since 1990 until 1996 my family move to Ujung Pandang (now Makassar), Sulawesi Selatan (South Celebes). And in 1999 until 2002 my family move to Semarang, Jawa Tengah (Central Java). I’m back again to my hometown Bandung in 2002 until now but never watch Persib at the stadium because too many reason =). When Persib Launch the line-up at Pendopo Kota Bandung, November 11th, 2012 it was my moment when I decide to watch Persib again at the stadium. It’s so hard to capture the player because hundred of fans compete to snap them with their cell phone camera. Lucky me I could snap Firman Utina, Persib and also Indonesia national team playmaker, with my fisheye2 camera.
I also snap M. Ridwan, Persib and Indonesia national team right wing.
Thanks to @vespa66 because of him I could get the ticket of the friendly big match between Persib Bandung vs DC United, USA.
And the atmosphere of Persib Bandung match at Si Jalak Harupat stadium were sooo EPIC, I’m speechless.
Can you feel it?
So happy. This is the happy face after the match =D
Me and @vespa66 want to take a photo with Persib player but the security guard at the entrance of the player room is so tight and we were prohibited to enter the room. So we only could enter the grass field and take a selfie inside of the goal line.
And did this “awkward sit up pose” =8
