Enchanting Vivid Saturation of Kodak Ektachrome E100VS slide/positive film ISO 100

Just like it's initial, EVS (Ektachrome Vivid Saturation), this is the perfect slide film to get everyday object into beautiful x-pro (cross process) color object.

I’m very late trying this enchanting vivid saturation of Kodak Ektachrome E100VS slide/positive film ISO 100. Thanks to my not yet meet Canadian bestfriend, Andrew Nash a.k.a. @druid who give me a chance to try this amazing film. Wanna know more about this film on mine? Check after the jump.

My first adventure with this film were happen on Ramadhan month, one month fasting for Islamic person. I did self-lomowalk around Tempat Pemakaman Umum (Cemetery for public) Pandu, Bandung, Indonesia.

The hot hot sun shiny noon are just perfect lighting for this film. As the sky lover I shoot the peaceful blue sky and cozy white cloud and my hope that it will turn out with great saturation were came true.

It seems like I’m very focus of anything around me. When the noisy of the airplane were come behind me, I shoot to the sky reflectedly.

I just kept walking and more feeling fun eventhough it’s very hot noon and I did fasting. It took me to the railway near the train station of my hometown. When the train passing through I shoot it excitedly.

Normally I dislike little boys. But this bunch of little stranger boys force me to take their photo. I don’t know why I shoot them reflectedly again and again. This film is magic.

Very satisfied with the first and second result of the roll made me wanna do something more with my Kodak EVS. So I try @hodachrome ’s signature technique, exposing both side (EBS) with shoot this vocalist grandpa who cover Mick Jagger insanely. And I D.I.Y. redscale the film and then I shoot the river.

Kudanil (African Hippopotamus) are the 2nd animal which quite hard to shoot with great pose in Kebun Binatang (zoo) Bandung. When visiting the zoo on the lonely afternoon, I just lucky to get his mouth open widely. But frankly I didn’t like the color, maybe because the sun didn’t shining brightly at that time? I don’t know.

On the way back home after watching Fariz RM gig, destiny took me to the midnight street market on jalan Rajawali. I just lucky because the angkot (public transportation) driver took me here after he took the other passenger who paid him more to take them near to this location. So I get down from the angkot and take a walk to jalan Pasteur to catch the next public transportation to take me home. I never been here before. And the freshness meat and vegetable made me want to shoot it with Kodak EVS that is still inside my Horizon Perfekt. It’s my first night time shoot with this film.

So far I love to shoot the blue color with this film. Besides it’s my favorite color, it’s always produce different blue on every Kodak EVS film that I ever shoot.
