Unsatisfied result can't stop me to do more and more filmswap with all of you =)
I’m a little bit late join this double/filmswap phenomena, but this is my story. Check after the slam dunk =p I mean after the jump =)

It’s started when Mikey Davies @mikeydavies from Dorset, UK always ask me to do filmswap. Then he added me as a friend on facebook. Then he ask again at facebook and then Hakimbo Hakim @hakimbo05 from Singapore added me as a friend and he also ask me to do filmswap.

Actually I haven’t sent anything to foreign country before, so I’m asking Lomoguru @adi_totp who already filmswap with a lot of lomographer all over the world. And then he told me to sent it by post at Kantor Pos (post office) Bandung on jalan (street) Asia-Afrika and the cost are under Rp 30.000 ($ 3).

Then my adventure were started after I told @Hakimbo05 and @mikeydavies what camera & film I’ll use and their use. We’re on a triangle conversation at facebook. They’re also did filmswap between them.

After shoot 2 roll of Kodak Elitechrome EL slide/positive film ISO 400 using Horizon Perfekt camera, I sent the film to each of them. And the weirdest also the funny thing is their film were arrived at my home at the same time, eventhough the distant between my country are more closer to @hakimbo05 country rather than @mikeydavies country.

I shoot @hakimbo05 Lomography X-Pro chrome slide/positive film ISO 100 and @mikeydavies Kodak color negative film at the same time and processing it at photo lab at the same time too. But I’m totally misscalculated the aperture and shutterspeed of my Horizon Perfekt which I’m still learning of it until now and it made a lot of the result become overexposure. I also didn’t notice that panoramic frame at my camera are not match with normal frame of @hakimbo05 LC-A and @mikeydavies Diana mini. So a lot of panoramic photo were cropped with normal frame by the photo lab.

I get unsatisfied result but I have 2 new friend who are very kind, @hakimbo05 and @mikeydavies who have asked me first to do filmswap. Thanks guys ;) My 3rd filmswap are with Shaun Goddard a.k.a. @_smg_ from Lynchburg, West Virginia, USA. I’m little bit worried because USA are more far from UK, which means the postal cost will be double expensive more than the cost to UK, but thanks God after the post office worker told me the total cost, it’s not too expensive from the cost to UK. Two week (or three I forgot) he messaging me told that my Kodak color negative has arrived to USA. Wow, I’m amazed because it’s very fast arrival. Couple days later his Kodak color negative film ISO 400 was arrived at my home. I took my fisheye2 camera and shoot with the film. I have an idea to D.I.Y. redscaling the film, but I forgot to calculating the number of frame that I haven’t shutter which cause many frame are only consist of one exposure because I didn’t shoot it.

I stilldidn’t get amazing result just like a lot of filmswaper get at lomography.com. But I started feel the fun of this activities and didn’t wanna stop it. My 4th filmswap are with Adam Amizic @xox108xox from Zagreb, Croatia. I sent him Kodak color negative and I didn’t ask him what film that he’ll sent to me. I always told my double/filmswap partner what camera and film that I use. If they’re ok, I’ll continued to shoot with my equipment. I never ask them what film they’re use because I love surprise, except when they told me what camera & film that they’ll use. And @xox108xox really surprised me with sent Fuji Velvia slide/positive film ISO 50 RVP. I’m very careful and think shoot with this expensive film, but again and again, the result are still unsatisfied me. It made me think, it’s just my thinking or “don’t think just shoot” method is not use when shoot with filmswap?

@xox108xox surprised me again with told that he like the result. So maybe it’s just my thought who always unsatisfied with anything =)

And my recent last filmswap are with Nina Golob Kovalinca @lomonina from Svabicena, Ljubljana, Slovenia. As a South East Asian man who never go abroad, I really curious with snow and @lomonina told me that she can’t shoot at that time because it’s very bad/severe weather outside of her place. She choose to go outside couple weeks later. So I ask her to shoot the snow because I wanna feel the snow, at least at double/filmswap photo =p After her Kodak color negative arrived to my place, I shoot many faces of myself, hoping to appear on Slovenian snow =p But, the medium format frame of @lomonina ‘s Diana camera shoot are not match with my La sardina’s frame shoot. Failed again T-T
