Virtual postcards from me here in California to wish you a happy 2012. Imagine these photos on card stock with a stamp and the writings in black ink. Of course your address is written on the right half of it. Imagine these postcards delivered to you by your local mailman/woman.....
How fast time flies and yes, it’s the New Year. And so I wish you a good 2012…a year full of love and laughter….and of course, a year of nonstop clicking of the shutter button. And with that said, I’d like to thank you for not just the likes and comments ( although I have to say again that I’m truly grateful for those) but also for sharing your world to me….your neck of the woods…your neighborhoods….your meals….your hobbies….glimpses of people that make you laugh and live….your perspectives in shooting….your passions…your lomographs. I love taking photos and sharing them with you but what I’m most thankful for are the friendships I’ve formed in this community. Friendships that I will keep and I know will last…..
But as we toast the New Year, here are some postcards from 2011…..from me to you…..
Yes, you’re right this is not in California. This was during Mardi Gras in New Orleans. But this girl’s smile just melts my heart every time. And that umbrella. So here she is again….smiling at you, wishing for you to smile more this year….
It used to be a doughnut place but the new owners decided to sell bagels instead. From the city I live in…a transformed doughnut….Bellflower Bagels…..Happy New Year!
Eat a carrot. It’s healthy. I took this photo last summer at the Orange Farmer’s Market. They are pretty with their tips straight at me like dozens of arrows aiming at my heart….eh…..Just thought shooting them like this was somewhat interesting….so I did…..but I didn’t buy one…and I’m still struggling to eat my carrots. But you my friends, you should eat those carrots hehe….Have a healthy 2012!
Carlos the Barber. You might see more of him this coming year. His old school barbershop and such a nice man to let me take photos of him in action. Much obliged Carlos! And to you my friends, thank you for letting me take you on a glimpse of Carlos’ shop.
As you know by now, I have so many beach photos that it’s hard to just pick one to send you. So I picked 7. Like those accordion postcards at the souvenir shop. Thank you for viewing my beach photos although I know you’ve seen a lot of “Surfin’ California” style photos before. And my news for you this 2012…..more beach photos! :)
Happy New Year to you all! I wish you your heart’s desire or desires. And hope to see more of your photos this coming year. And again….thank you.
