Hearts for Japan

The gift shop in L.A. where I consign crocheted toys and gifts called me early last week to tell me that all the products I sent for Valentine’s day sold except for six heart ornaments. They asked me if I wanted those back or if I wanted to wait until they get sold. I thought of the “Help Japan-A Hug Goes A Long Way” competition and though I already submitted a few photos, it would be really great to send a photo of my crocheted hearts. So it didn’t take me much time to decide for them to just send those back to me and maybe, just maybe I’ll make it in time for the competition deadline.
What happened was I got the hearts back the day before the competition ended. I had to take a photo, finish the roll , have it processed, post them…..4 days late for the competition. I was kinda sad about this. I really wanted this photo included among the ones that I sent.
But then again it’s never too late to send some love ( in the form of hearts forming a heart photo) to a country I fell in love with 3 years ago.
