For my sixth post “My Photo of the Week” I choose this one:

The first thing that I’ve thought, remember me a photo of Ilse Bing , her famous self-portrait on the mirror. The black and white show us the essential, (too many times we forget that colors aren’t always necessary) but the picture is bright and full of details in the foreground and the background. Also the photographer @giorgiaamabili remains in background than the rest of the picture. If I could travel with imagination I think about a metaphor with the relation between photography/photographer. Shot a bit vintage, a bit nostalgic, certainly full of passion.

La prima cosa che ho pensato, mi ricordava una foto di Ilse Bing, quella del suo celebre autoritratto allo specchio. Il bianco e nero ci mostra innanzitutto l’essenziale, (troppe volte ci dimentichiamo che in una fotografia i colori non sono sempre necessari) ma l’immagine è luminosa e ricca di dettagli in primo piano e in secondo piano. La stessa fotografa si mette in secondo piano rispetto al resto. Se viaggio con l’immaginazione potrei pensare ad una metafora con il rapporto fotografia/fotografo. Scatto un pò vintage, un pò nostalgico, sicuramente ricco di passione.

Il ritratto che un artista fa ad una persona, o anche un semplice autoritratto contiene l'essenza, se scattato al MOMENTO giusto, dell'essere, l'essere che è tutta la realtà contenuta in quel momento. L'essere della persona ad esempio ( i suoi sentimenti,le seu passioni, i suoi bisogni, le sue domande, i suoi affetti, le relazioni, il suo rapporto col mondo, con gli altri) appare, si manifesta in una fotografia, in un ritratto, è questa anche la potenza infinita dell'ARTE!
