You can read the Guru article Here
I mean every word I say in there, it is actually a very good, compressed view on who I am and what I stand for. The article was was written in september, but it got ‘lost’ or something and in november they asked me to do it again. I just took the september version and I edited it quickly.
I sometimes think the website, the community, is one big advertisment for the LSI shop, and that’s OK. But I got here the other way around. I was shooting with a Holga for some years and suddenly I discovered this website. I did not trust it. A site stating ’Lomography is your Home!", is not my cup of tea. But I started ordering cameras and film in the online shop. To my great surprise the goodies were delivered very fast, and when something was wrong they took it back without problems. So I gave it a shot and made myself a lomohome. It turned out to be great, lots of nice people, lots of inspiring lomographers. Just great stuff.
That was the story, not really shocking I know.
Last week I cleaned out my hard drive and I found pics from 2006/2007 taken with a Nikon F80 and I uploaded them here. I notice that my way of portraiing people has not changed a lot over the last 6 years.
This is the summer of 2006, the vignettes were unwanted, created by putting a pola-filter on top of an UV-filter on an 24mm lens.
I should shoot it the same way now.
This one too. If it snows this year, I would take the same pic. More lo-fi, cross processed and a little double exposing, but the framing should remain the same. Just three people walking, trying to remain upright instead of enjoying nature.
Next is the kind of snaps I like.
