Help: 2 Old SLRs

My mom mentioned that she found an SLR camera in their room earlier today.
She showed it to me and it turns out that there were two SLRs in their room:
A Canon T50 and a Pentax P3n and a flash unit.

Upon careful inspection, i found out that the Pentax P3n has a bit of fungi in its lens.
I couldn’t fully open the aperture of the T50, so I wasn’t able to check.
The viewfinder (or lens if you insist) of both SLRs look a bit foggy.

I figure I should bring these to a camera repair shop.
But I also thought about trying it out with a 24-exposure film (I will have to check the battery contacts for corrosion though).

Which would be the best solution?

If you haven't already, do a Google search on those two cameras and read up on them. I would think they will still work probably... but as far as repairs go, I have had many cameras repaired and I would only do it with ones that are valuable to you. It's going to cost you more to fix most cameras than they are worth until you get into the more valuable stuff.

@clickiemcpete I was able to get the manual for the Pentax P3n, and i'll read it later. Ahhh, I see. Thanks! I'd probably do that, but I have yet to weigh out their PROs and CONs to know which is worth the repair.

suwerte mo! your best bet is to bring them to hidalgo. lens clean up wouldn't cost that much. but there's really no harm in trying. if the shutter is working, then it's probably fine. test them and cross your fingers. :)

@antibiotyx Thanks! Haha How much would lens cleaning cost in Hidalgo?

lens cleaning in luminance costs 1,500. check out the other shops. it might be cheaper.
