Buying film you don't know can be an adventure.

Online shopping is fun, easy and can lead to impulsive purchases. I saw 8 rolls of Eastman 5248 on an auction site for “a bargain price.” The reason nobody wanted them? ECN-2 Processing. Uh-Oh. What does THAT mean? A quick google search later and I find out a little more about this stuff. Anti-Halation layer will mess up traditional C-41 machines. Hmmm. Maybe useful for those labs that wrecked my negatives in the past. No, I want to get my images back. Dip & Dunk then. I wonder what E-6 or Black and white chemistry would give me. Time to get experimental when it gets here.

It is an adventure! I snagged some color IR for a song on ebay only to find out it requires and old type of processing no one around here can do. I did find a place online that will process them but it's expensive. Of well, they're still in my freezer until waiting to be used some day. Cheers!
