Let's 'Cook' the Film: The Recipe of Film Soup!

The idea of film soup, is to allow the film to have chemical interaction with the 'soup', and produce the unexpectedly extraordinary effect for your Lomographs. Since the first film soup ever been 'served', every Lomographer has eagerly recorded down their own recipe and review. In this article, I would like to share my experience with my own secret recipe!

Some of my favorite places to shoot. The bridge construction which has been going on for 3 years is almost done and you can now drive both ways back and forth to Turners Falls. This is a big deal around here because it's been three long years of one way into Turners but a long drive around to get back home. Also, I can now see the dam complex and all the views looking up the river towards Bartons Cove from the nifty new sidewalk and freshly refinished original cast iron railings. The bridge dates back to the 1930's WPA projects and has that cool deco railing.

  • A Proper 35mm Film Mod for Diana F+

A Proper 35mm Film Mod for Diana F+

Many 35mm mods for the Diana F+ that you can find online are temporary hacks or require you to do something every time you load a film e.g. stick popsicle sticks to the film every time you load a fresh one. It's fine for those who are only playing with 35mm once or twice but for those who want to permanently use 35mm films on their Diana F+ (for cost saving reasons or sprocket hole love), that would eventually get frustrating. So if you're familiar with some basic woodworking (not necessarily wood but anything that will do the job) then go ahead and try this tipster out to make your life easier in the long run.

    ActionSampler is Amusement!!!

I got this camera last year because I saw an offer at Lomography's online shop, and even though my favourite is the transparent one, I still got one since it takes the same pictures. Voilá!, I bought it with some piggies I had and I took it with me during summer.

There are lots of hot rod cruise nights every week throughout the summer months but Rosner's monthly get together is special. You see stuff there that you would never see anywhere else. I can't get enough of these kind of shots, my personal faves. :)

Not sure what happened here, way overexposed but it looks push processed so I kind of liked it. Another nice LomoLabs job.

My order of Lomo Purple seems to be missing but I was able to trade for a roll with Miss Vici. Most of these were metered for ISO 400 but a few were 100. A few good ones but this film seems to be all over the place and I'm not sure yet how I like it.

Most of these are doubles made with a Diana F+ with instant back. I used the standard wide angle 55mm lens and also the fisheye lens on these....The last 6 images were made with the Fuji Instax Mini 90.

More from the Harvard campus. We always hear about Harvard and it was good to finally be able to see it for myself. The many churches serve as a vivid reminder of it's roots as a religious institution. I really enjoyed the beautiful stonework of the buildings and the great light we had that day.
