    Northamptonshire is a beautiful county with huge expanses of unspoilt countryside, cute little villages in the middle of nowhere and stately homes laden with history. I planned to do a fashion shoot tour of the county showing you some of these spectacular and beautiful locations to shoot in but what with this dismal weather ruining all my fun, I didn’t get to do half as many as I would have liked.

    Go Skateboarding Day occurs on the 21st of June and was started up by the International Association of Skateboard Companies to increase skateboarding accessibility. 2012 will be the 8th anniversary of this day with an increasing amount of events worldwide to celebrate and encourage interest in this increasingly popular extreme sport. To celebrate the day, I went out with my camera and shot some skateboarders, some of whom shared why they picked up a board in the first place.

    Santa Pod Raceway is just outside the small Northamptonshire village of Podington near Wellingborough. Many car enthusiasts make the pilgrimage to Santa Pod over the summer months with prayers of dry weather and no breakdowns along the way. Whether for the low key "Run What Ya Brung" days or the National Drag Racing Championships, competition is always fierce and the caliber of cars on show are always topnotch. With over 50 events running from Jan-Nov with styles to suit everyone from the Jap enthusiast to the Mini Maniac, you're sure to find a day that takes your fancy.
