Some thoughts...
1. Having taken many photos recently, I’ve realised that I’m not thinking enough about each shot. While Lomo think it’s great to Don’t Think, Just Shoot, I’ve come to the conclusion that a) film is too expensive b) processing is too expensive and c) I’m not capturing the shots I want with putting such little thought in to them. So from now on I will THINK first, SHOOT second.
2. Try, try and try to pick the correct film for the weather/lighting. As unpredictable as it can be in Scotland, I will not load my camera the night before based on what the weather man says. Always, always on the day I’m going out. If I’m travelling far, take a choice of film and load it once I reach the destination. Easy.
3. Simple. Always make sure my camera is on the right settings (darn those blurry shots that could easily have been avoided!)
Dolly.
