Needing advice on the best camera for a wedding.

It’s my best friends wedding this Saturday and I’m finally prepared, I have my outfit hanging in the wardrobe, complete with shoes and all…. but, I have not yet thought of what camera to take.

Some points;

- I’ll be taking a few outdoor shots, the weather here is a bit miserable at the moment though.
- Most of the night will be spent indoors, so a flash will be needed.
- I don’t want to blind people with an overpowered flash, which means leaving behind my Diana flash for sure.
- Carrying a number of cameras isn’t really an option, as I don’t want to take a massive camera bag to a wedding.

Hmm.

New to my collection are the Lomo Baby 110 cameras. So I have those as options for outdoors shots, they require minimal space in my bag too which is nice, I could take both of them.

But, as for a camera with flash. I’m limited.. I have a Holga with flash built in, so perhaps this might be an option, though a bit bulky for carrying around.

To be honest, I don’t tend to use the flash on my cameras a lot.. so I’m struggling to think of what might be best.

So for those of you who have attended weddings, or indeed just parties of any sort at night.. what camera and/or flash do you tend to use?

Dolly.

    I would take the pentax 110, the smena 8m and the Holga colourfash. What i do when I don't want to blind people is tape a piece of glass paper on the flash. Two layers if really needed. It dims the flash in a nice way.

    @gauthierdumonde @clickiemcpete @atria007 Yes, Holga seems like a must : ) I wonder if taking the LomoKino might be a nice idea, I don't have a flash for it, so maybe if the church is well lit a black&white iso 400 would maybe work? And of course plenty of use outside the church too. I thought the movie might make a nice gift for the couple after the wedding if it turns out well.

    The lomokino is at its widest f/5.6 and has a shutterspeed of 1/100s. I should put in iso 3200 b&w in a low light church and iso 1600 in a well lit one.

    I know my post is too late for you. But I just would like to share. I think Holga is the best option with a lot of film rolls. I am going to take a wedding photo as well. Around 4 friends are getting married. My set up will be Bessa R3M with mix of Lomo400, Lomo800 films. Also Black and White is the must for wedding. it will give a nice feeling of the event.
