help?
Here’s the story.
I have this set of filters that I inherited.. they aren’t of the screw in variety so they won’t attach to my Canon AE-1 lens. They are the square framed filters that slide in to a adapter(?) I think.
But… does such an adapter exist for the Canon AE-1? Or that will at least fit it?
Or am I going to have to DIY why this? ha ha.
I can’t afford the “actual” set of filters for this camera, as they only seem to be available from the US and I’m in the UK, urgh!

Do any of the square filter say "Cokin" on them? There are different sized rings available that screw onto the lens and then the filter box-like holder slides on over the ring. I have rings from 40.5mm up to 58mm. I have seen the rings for sale used $2 to $12 depending on the size and condition. Or a piece of paper tape will hold them in place. I hope that helps.

@fotoflix Ooh I was just looking at those on Ebay and wasn't sure if they were the right type of thing or not, but I might give that a shot. Sounds better than paying out for a complete new set of lenses. Thanks!
