What to do?
Here’s my dilemma;
I have around 10 cameras, maybe a couple more, that I need to get rid of. But I don’t know if they are even worth anything. Here’s the list of them:
1x Braun Paxette in Brown Leather case (Lens says PRONTOR-SVS on it)
1x Pentax Epio 115M (missing the battery cover)
2x Kodak Instamatic 33 (one in black case, one not cased)
1x Kodak Instamatic 204 (with black case)
1x Kodak Instamatic 100 (with black case)
1x Kodak Instamatic 25
1x Kodak Instamatic 133 (in black case)
1x Kodak Instamatic 100 (Boxed with Instruction manual)
1x Kodak (?) Popular Brownie Box Camera
Now all the Kodak Instamatics, they are in various conditions, from rusty to one that is boxed with instruction manual. Sad to say, but despite having so many cameras, I don’t know how to check if these are all in working condition and fungus free etc etc. So I can’t even say with confidence what condition they are in. ARGH. It’s a nightmare!
Does anyone know anywhere in the UK that takes old cameras for money? Other than Ebay that is?
I had emailed Rocky Cameras but after reading all the negative reviews I’ve decided not to pursue that idea, despite the fact I’ve had no reply anyway.
These poor cameras are just sitting in a box in my spare room and I just don’t know what to do with them. I can’t even do a car boot sale, as I have no car to speak of. Ha ha.
Any ideas?

Hi there. I remember reading here at Lomography someone who had a 30 weeks/30 cameras project and he was looking for cameras to borrow... I'll try to see if I can remember...

@anafaro Oh yeah, I remember that too! I think I've decided to put them on ebay, I'll just have to give as much information about the cameras as I can and hope people are interested : )

Sadly money matters require quick cash on ebay :( So I've added my Fed 5 which I haven't even used and a Kodak Brownie Twin 20 camera *sigh* If anyone is interested in the lot, bidding starts at 5.00 GBP, you can message me for the link if you like.

you could always propose a camera swap with someone offer your 10 in exchange for one more premium camera? if not you could ebay or gumtree it all in one go as a job lot

@iandevlinphoto Thank for the ideas : ) I'm really struggling with the thought of getting rid of these cameras now, ha ha. Perhaps I should find something else to get rid of instead. I'm hopeless!

If you go to a secondhand camerashop: they won't offer you much. I did last week. The Brownies are popular but cheap, as are most instamatic. I think the Fed 5 will sell easily and give you at least 40 to 50 GPB at Ebay. The Camerashop offerd me like 90GPB for my Hasselblad 500C body. Well I kept it !!. Good luck !

@gauthierdumonde It's a good thing I don't have any secondhand camera shops near me then, ha ha. I don't really know what to do with them now, I'm trying a couple of online places that sell vintage cameras to see if they want to buy them from me. If not I will persevere with Ebay. I've changed my mind about the Fed 5, I couldn't sell it in the end. ha ha. Thanks!
