Day 3 - Loop from St-Vaast north to Barfleur, a picnic at the lighthouse at Pointe de Barfleur, then inland west and south back to St-Vaast. Total distance about 58 to 75 km.
Day 3 featured a loop which took us to the charming fishing port of Barfleur.

Barfleur is where William the sailed from on his conquest of England in 1066 – a date important to all real property lawyers as it represents the starting point in the history of the law of real property!
After exploring the town we made our way north to Pointe de Barfleur. On the way, we stopped to take pictures and to visit an award winning butcher to buy some things for a picnic lunch.

At Pointe de Barfleur we enjoyed a picnic overlooking one of the tallest lighthouses in France (some 233 feet in height).
Then we saddled up for a long ride back to St-Vaast that featured some formidable climbs.
